Chambly Canal National Historic Site

The Chambly Canal National Historic Site is open every day from sunrise to 11 p.m. The path is maintained from April 15th to November 15th each year.

Additional informations

  • Transit time: 4 hours minimum
  • At locks Nos. 1-2-3 (Chambly), please arrive at least 45 minutes before the last lockage.
  • The times of first and last lockages are not guaranteed. To maximize chances of being locked through, arrive early enough to allow complete lockages in both directions.
  • Bridges Nos. 1, 10 and 12 are closed Monday to Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and from 12:40 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
  • There are only two lockings per day during the fixed hour lockages.
  • There is no overnight mooring in the canal. See the overnight mooring page to learn more.
