Riding Mountain National Park
Spring water level update
Issued: May 13, 2022
Wasagaming, May 13, 2022
Parks Canada staff are monitoring creeks, dams, rivers and lakes in Riding Mountain National Park for high water levels and potential for flooding. As has been reported in the media, some roads in the park have been washed out and access to Lake Audy is not possible at this time. Highway 19 and Lake Audy Road will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
Parks Canada staff are working closely with provincial and municipal authorities. Information for residents outside the park will come from the Province of Manitoba or your local authority. Please monitor our website at https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/mb/riding for the latest information for locations within Riding Mountain National Park.
Property owners in low-lying areas near the national park boundaries around Lake Audy should go to their local government authority for the impact high water levels may have for them.
