Update of the Parks Canada Occupational Health and Safety and Wellness Policy

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to share with you the updated Parks Canada Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Wellness Policy. The foundation of our OHS Accountability Framework, this policy sets the tone for how we deliver our mandate, and reinforces our commitment to a work environment that prioritizes health, safety, and wellness. You will see this commitment reflected in the new policy statement posted on your OHS bulletin boards.

Everyone has a role to play. The underlying philosophy of this policy is that each person in the workplace—managers and employees—shares responsibility for their own health, safety, and well-being, as well as for that of their colleagues.

I encourage you to complete the training, ask questions, and participate in discussions with your supervisors and teams to understand how to carry out your duties safely.
