Learn about what life was like for the French artisans who arrived and built the first French settlement, the Habitation, in 1605. Public and private guided tours with a costumed interpreter are available.

Imagine you are one of the new artisans who has just arrived. It is your first time crossing the Atlantic Ocean. You have been requested to report to the Governor and will be assigned your new duties at Port-Royal.

Tours are offered depending on staff availability. There is reduced availability for tours from mid-May to mid-June and in September and October.
