Permits and licenses
Fort Chambly National Historic Site
A vast network of national historic sites, national parks, national marine conservation areas and a national urban park are administered by Parks Canada.
Some of these unique and enchanting locations are ideal for hosting events, commercial video shoots and commercial photography sessions. These activities require a permit and must be authorized by Parks Canada in order to take place.
Drone prohibition
Recreational drone flying is prohibited across all Parks Canada locations.
Some drone flights for non-recreational purposes such as scientific research, and public safety, are sometimes authorized under strict conditions.
Check the Use of drones at Parks Canada places page for more information.
Commercial film and/or photography
To obtain the authorization for a film or photo shoot at a Parks Canada location, you must submit your application a minimum of twenty (20) business days prior to the first proposed day of the film or photo shoot.
The types of activities accepted include, but are not limited to, the filming of short and feature films, documentaries and television series, film and photo shoots for commercial or marketing purposes, and other recordings made for commercial purposes.
Parks Canada reserves the right to reject or decline applications that do not meet all the requirements. If the application is approved, Parks Canada will issue a film or photo shoot permit with additional conditions and requirements to be respected by the production company.
