Treaty 6 150th Commemoration

The Office of the Treaty Commissioner and Parks Canada invite you to join us for an afternoon of culture, community, and connection to honour National Indigenous Peoples Day and commemorate the 150th anniversary of Treaty 6.

Two Indigenous presenters in traditional regalia speak to a group of visitors. 

11 am - Grand Entry & Opening Ceremony
Featuring Wild Horse Singers drum group, Elder’s Prayer by Jenny Spyglass, and Emcees Sheldon Wuttunee and Eric Tootoosis

11 am to 4 pm
Outdoor market, tipi village, storytelling, kids’ activities, traditional hand games, and more!

12 pm - Complimentary BBQ lunch

12:30 pm - Jenn Nicotine & Friends
Presenting traditional Indigenous dance styles for you to enjoy!

2:30 pm - Audi & Kriss Atcheynum
Bringing you their favourite classic rock and classic country songs!
