Management plan review

Motherwell Homestead National Historic Site is reviewing and updating its management plan which guides future decisions and actions in protecting, presenting and operating the site.

An integral part of the plan’s renewal process is engagement with Indigenous partners, stakeholders and the public. Parks Canada is seeking input and feedback on a draft management plan for Motherwell Homestead National Historic Site.

What is a site management plan

Management plans provide a long-term vision, key strategies and objectives that guide the management of a national historic site over a 10-year period. A management plan is an important document in ensuring that Parks Canada delivers on its commitments to Canadians. Once complete, the Motherwell Homestead National Historic Site management plan will be tabled in Parliament and signed by the Minister responsible for Parks Canada.
