2024-2025 Non-Motorized Weekend Schedule

Non-Motorized Weekends

The Non-Motorized Weekend schedule designates weekends where use of snowmobiles is not permitted in the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site. This season’s non-motorized weekends are:

  • December 20 to 22, 2024
  • January 10 to 12, 2025
  • January 31 to February 2, 2025
  • February 21 to 23, 2025
  • March 14 to 16, 2025 - Log Cabin parking is closed to the general public to accommodate the Annual Buckwheat International Ski Classic.
  • April 4 to 6, 2025
  • April 25 to 27, 2025

2024-2025 Non-Motorized Weekends (PDF, 500 Kb)

Pursuant to Section 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, the use of snowmobiles in the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site (CTNHS) is designated as restricted, prohibiting their use during the Non-Motorized Weekends. This includes the operation, loading, and unloading of snowmobiles in the entire CTNHS, including the Log Cabin parking lot. Non-motorized weekends extend from 1:00 am on Friday through 12:00 Midnight on Sunday, as identified on the above schedule. Snowmobiles are permitted at all other times.
