WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: The forested area immediately adjacent to the Fenlands Recreation Centre and bounded by Norquay Road to the west, the Trans Canada Highway to the north, the Canadian Pacific Railway Line to the south and the Canadian Pacific Railway “Y” to the east.  See attached map.

WHY: A grizzly bear is feeding on an mule deer carcass in the area. 

PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty   

$25 000.
