Lake Minnewanka Reservoir Motorized Watercraft Restriction
Pursuant to Section7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
Launching a motorized watercraft at Lake Minnewanka reservoir is a "Restricted Activity". All motorized watercraft must undergo a Parks Canada watercraft inspection, and possess a valid proof of inspection BEFORE launching into Lake Minnewanka reservoir.
WHERE: Lake Minnewanka reservoir.
WHY: To reduce the risk of introducing aquatic invasive species into Lake Minnewanka reservoir.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
