Temporary area closure for wildlife

What:

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following trail is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

Area between the Athabasca River and Trail 7 near Old Fort Point.

Where:

Area between the Athabasca River and Trail 7 near Old Fort Point. ((see accompanying map).

Why:

Wildlife activity in this area cannot be disturbed by human presence.

Penalty

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25,000.
