What:
Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following trail is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:
The area between the Lake Edith shoreline and the Lake Edith Road between cabins 25 and 26 including Trail 4 and Trail 4h.
Trail 4 remains open around the rest of the lakeshore.
Where:
In Jasper National Park, the area between the Lake Edith shoreline and the Lake Edith Road between cabins 25 and 26 including Trail 4 and Trail 4h.
Why:
Grizzly bear on a carcass in the area.
Penalty:
Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
