WHAT: Under the authority of the Haida Nation and the Government of Canada through the Archipelago Management Board (AMB), pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations and the inherent responsibility of the Haida Nation to protect the lands and waters of Haida Gwaii, the following area in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site is temporarily closed to all public access: 

WHERE: SGang Gwaay; Anthony Island. Refer to the map on this notice.

WHY: For cultural sensitivity during pole repatriation.

WHEN: June 24th, 2026; Sunrise to sunset

PENALTY: Contravention of this order may result in a fine or court appearance under the Canada National Parks Act or pursuant Regulations.
