Interpretive trails

Check out these family-friendly interpretive trails around Kootenay National Park.

Marble Canyon

  • Hike along the rim of the canyon. Learn about how water shaped this landscape and about some surprisingly hardy plants and animals that live in the canyon.

Simpson River interpretive trail

  • A walk through a valley marked by fire. Check out the interactive interpretive signs along the first 1.5 km of the trail. Learn about the incredible forces of nature: Lightning, wildfire, regeneration and succession.

Letwilc7úl̓ecw (Led‐wheel‐oo‐lo)

  • Discover Secwépemc uses of medicinal plants along this award-winning interpretive trail.
