Greenwich Beach offers one of Prince Edward Island’s most stunning coastal landscapes, featuring pristine white sand and protected parabolic sand dunes.
Known for its serene atmosphere and expansive views, this quieter national park beach is ideal for long walks, wildlife viewing, and exploring one of PEI’s most unique natural environments.
Domestic animals are prohibited on beaches between April 1 and October 15 annually.

Description
- Greenwich beach is typically quieter than other beaches.
- The road from the Greenwich Visitor Information Centre to the beach parking lot is gravel and can be bumpy.
- There is a gravel parking area available for visitors near the path and boardwalk leading to the beach facility.
- The beach facility features composting toilets, benches, a picnic area and outdoor showers.
- The walk to the beach from the beach facility is generally flat on a wooden boardwalk that is approximately 300 meters.
- Where the boardwalk meets the sand dunes, there is a beach hut and stairs that lead to the beach.
- There is no ramp from the boardwalk to the sand.
- At the top of the stairs, there is a flag to indicate surf conditions.
- The beach features soft white sand above the waterline, with hard packed sand exposed at low tide.
