Infrastructure Work in Greenwich, PEI National Park
Issued: October 15, 2026
Parks Canada is informing local residents and visitors of upcoming road work in the Greenwich area of PEI National Park.
Beginning October 19, 2026, road and parking lot improvement work will take place between the Greenwich Visitor Information Centre and the Greenwich Dunes Trail trailhead and is expected to continue until approximately December 2026. As part of this work, Wild Rose Road will be closed until spring 2027. Visitors may encounter additional road closures, traffic delays, construction vehicles, equipment, noise, and temporary changes to access in areas where work is underway.
For the safety of visitors, residents, Parks Canada staff, and contractors, the public is asked to respect all posted signage and stay clear of active construction areas and equipment. Parks Canada has scheduled this work outside the peak visitor season to help reduce impacts on residents and visitors while allowing important infrastructure improvements to be completed safely and efficiently.
Parks Canada thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation during this work.
