Infrastructure Work at Ross Lane Beach

Issued: October 05, 2026

Parks Canada would like to inform local residents and visitors of upcoming infrastructure and road work in the Ross Lane Beach area of PEI National Park.

From October 19, 2026, through spring 2027, coastal access at Ross Lane Beach will not available while work on roadways, parking areas, and dune crossing infrastructure is undertaken. Visitors seeking beach access are encouraged to use Stanhope Main Beach. Periodic traffic delays, construction vehicles, equipment, noise, and other temporary changes to access may occur throughout the project

For the safety of visitors, residents, Parks Canada staff, and contractors, the public is asked to respect all posted signage and stay clear of active construction areas and equipment. Parks Canada has scheduled this work outside the peak visitor season to help reduce impacts on residents and visitors while allowing important infrastructure improvements to be completed safely and efficiently. The area is expected to reopen along with the park’s other regular seasonal operations in the spring.

Parks Canada appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
