Be the first in the country to celebrate Canada Day!

After two years, we’re excited to invite you back to Signal Hill to commemorate Memorial Day and to start off your Canada Day celebrations. Join us and the City of St. John’s to watch the sun rise as the last post plays, sing O Canada, wave our flag, and have a cupcake.

*A free Metrobus shuttle will be operating between the Visitor Centre and Cabot Tower starting at 5:15 am. There will be two, accessible buses in operation for the event.


NEW Signal Hill’s first annual kite festival

Join us for some traditional, family fun at the Visitor Centre on Signal Hill National Historic Site. There will be kite making workshops, live music, kite flying, and so much more!!

** Please note that the summit of Signal Hill is in a flight path and kite flying will NOT be permitted there. The performance field next to the Visitor Centre will be the designated kite flying zone.
