Climate change risk assessment and adaptation plan workshop
Rideau Canal National Historic Site
This November, Parks Canada will commence the development of a Climate Change Risk Assessment and Adaptation Plan for the Rideau Canal National Historic Site, thanks to the support of the Preserving Legacies initiative.
Preserving Legacies is an initiative coordinated by National Geographic, the Climate Heritage Network, and the International Council on Monuments and Sites. The purpose is to build capacity in communities to protect cultural and natural heritage in a changing climate. It focuses on understanding and adapting to climate change through storytelling, art, science, and traditional culture.
