2020 Aquatic Vegetation Removal Application

June 30, 2020 – Shoreline owners on the Trent-Severn Waterway that wish to carry out in water shoreline works including shoreline modifications, dock installations and aquatic vegetation removal are required to have a permit from Parks Canada Agency. The application period to receive a permit for the removal of aquatic plants for the 2020 season is now closed.

Aquatic Vegetation on the Trent-Severn Waterway

The Trent-Severn Waterway timeframe for in water works (including aquatic plant removal) is July 1st, 2020 to August 31st, 2020 to ensure that fish are protected from the negative impacts of works or undertakings in and around water during spawning activities and other critical life stages. The spring restricted activity timing window will end on June 30th, 2020 and permit issued will be effective July 1st, 2020 until August 31st, 2020.
