You’ll have the chance to explore traditional techniques inspired by ancestral know-how and grounded in environmental respect. You will also take part in a moment of creation and sharing that encourages a meaningful reflection about respect, gratitude, and our relationship with nature while nurturing inspiration and a connection to the living world.
Hurry and reserve your spot for a mini birchbark canoe workshop with contemporary artist, and Anishinaabe artisan from the Timiskaming First Nation, Karl Chevrier.
These workshops are made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Quebec and Amis du Vieux-Fort as part of the Cultural Development Agreement of Témiscamingue regional county municipality.

- Decorative wreath making workshops, with Malie Lessard-Therrien, will also take place on Sundays, July 19 and August 30, 2026.
