Guided tours
S.S. Klondike National Historic Site
Let our Heritage Interpreters give you the in-depth story of the riverboats that maneuvered the tricky currents of the upper Yukon River. Hear fascinating stories of life on the river. Discover how much wood it took to keep the paddlewheel turning. Learn how the ship’s captain negotiated the rapids. Find out what the crew did if the ship got stuck on a sandbar!
The S.S. Klondike is closed for the season. Guided tours will be back again in 2023!
Guided tours are offered by our dynamic Parks Canada Heritage Presenters. Tours are offered in English or French between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Due to ongoing restoration work, it will not be possible to visit the interior of the S.S. Klondike during the 2023 season. However, the National Historic Site will be open to visitors and guided visits will access the bow of the boat.
