Pursuant to section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent, from October 19 to December 2, 2026.

For the purposes of this notice, a temporary closure is required to ensure the safety of visitors due to wildfire risk reduction work. This work is required to remove coniferous forest fuel that poses a fire hazard.

The following sector is considered to be a closed area within the boundaries of La Mauricie National Park (see the map below):

• Multi-use trails No. 11 and 12, and Mekinac Trail

Persons who do not comply with this notice may be subject to legal proceedings under section 24 (1) of the Canada National Parks Act.
