Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site

Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site features archaeological remains, buildings and natural spaces, in addition to offering a wide range of exhibits and activities. Several Parks Canada guides are available to answer your questions and provide information on the site's programming, facilities and services.

Visitor facilities

  • Interpretive panels in French and English;
  • A baby changing station;
  • Picnic tables;
  • A large grassy area that is safe for children;
  • A large-capacity parking lot for motor vehicles;
  • A bicycle rack.

Universal access

The site is accessible to persons with reduced mobility.

Various features have been implemented to ensure that visitors with reduced mobility or those using wheelchairs can access exhibits, the multimedia presentation, and available services:

At the Ironmaster’s House:

  • A ramp provides access to the ground floor;
  • A restroom adapted for accessibility is located on the ground floor;
  • An elevator provides access to all levels of the building.

Outdoors:

  • Wheelchair-accessible picnic tables are available near the Blast Furnace.
