There’s so much to see and do! You can spend a full day in any of the five park regions. Keep in mind there are long travel distances between them.

Around town

Enjoy the wilderness at your door. Hundreds of kilometres of trails, beaches, picnic sites, and beautiful vistas — just minutes from town

Maligne Valley

Plan to spend a full day in this area. Maligne Road is 44 kilometres of winding, narrow pavement through stunning scenery. Pack a picnic. Experience Medicine Lake along the way. Rent a canoe, take a boat cruise, or hike at Maligne Lake.

Edith Cavell and 93A

Cavell Road is closed until further notice.

Drive the narrow, mountain road to Mount Edith Cavell Day Use Area. Hike the Path of the Glacier trail or venture higher into Cavell Meadows.

Miette Hot Springs

Soak in the hottest hot springs in the Rockies, take a short walk to the source of the springs or hike up to Sulphur Skyline to see 360 degree views.

Miette Road is seasonally closed to motorists. Check 511.alberta.ca and Jasper National Park road restrictions and seasonal closures conditions and status.

Icefields Parkway

The Icefields Parkway is one of the most scenic drives in the world. It blazes through the heart of Jasper and Banff national parks. Plan a day to fully experience all 232 kilometres. Glaciers, waterfalls, picnic spots, and hikes can be enjoyed along this magnificent parkway.
