    A classic-style cross-country ski competition, open to all, with mass starts for all age categories. Distances range from 600 m for toddlers to 15 km for adults. The event takes place in the morning, from 7 AM to 12 PM.

    * Competition postponed to the following day in the event of severe weather.

    ** Dismantling from 1 PM to 4 PM.

    This 3.1 km discovery outing is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the beauty of winter in La Mauricie National Park. Accessible and safe, this 2-hour outing in an enchanting setting is the ideal way to familiarize yourself with snowshoeing and enjoy the region's enchanting landscapes. To add a warm touch to the experience, a delicious hot chocolate awaits you at the end of the hike - the perfect opportunity to warm up and share a convivial moment with the group.

    Participants must pay their own entrance fees to access La Mauricie National Park. A pair of snowshoes is required for the activity. You can rent them at the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre.

    An accessible 3.1 km loop to discover snowshoeing at your own pace, ideal for beginners or those looking for a relaxing outing. Each outing ends with a comforting hot chocolate, offered with pleasure!

    Winter activity days for youth

    From February 19 to 21, 2025, the Défis du Parc team and La Mauricie National Park welcome youngsters from various schools in the region to introduce them to the pleasures of winter and nature. These challenges are open doors to the discovery of nature.

    This 4.5 km hike offers a touch of adventure in the heart of nature. Accessible to all, this trail offers a pleasant 2-hour stroll, ideal for recharging your batteries. This activity lets you savor the joys of winter in a friendly atmosphere. This outing promises total immersion in the winter splendor of La Mauricie National Park. To add a warm touch to the experience, a delicious hot chocolate awaits you at the end of the hike, the perfect opportunity to warm up and share a convivial moment with the group.

  • Cross-country ski initiation day

    Cost: To take part in the cross-country ski initiation day, interested parties can register on site on the day. The activity costs $10 per participant, including cross-country ski equipment, animation and access to the trails for the duration of the activity. Visitors must pay the applicable entrance fee to enter the site.

    The Skimau ski club and La Mauricie National Park invite you to enjoy a cross-country ski initiation day. Youngsters aged 17 and under who want to learn the basics of this magnificent sport can do so in the park's panoramic setting.

    Facilitators will offer five one-hour sessions, starting at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm We recommend arriving 45 minutes early to choose the right equipment for your child.

  • La Mauricie Cup Final

    On March 27, 2025, a classic-style cross-country ski competition, open to all, with mass starts for all age categories. Distances range from 600 m for toddlers to 15 km for adults. The event takes place in the morning, from 7 AM to 12 PM.

    The cross-country ski competition route starts at the junction of trail #6 and the Parkway. Competitors will take trails #6 and #10 up to 5 km from the start, where there will be a 180-degree turn. Participants will make two roundtrips. There will be other 180-degree turns on the course for the younger categories.

    ** Dismantling from 1 PM to 4 PM.
