Prince of Wales Fort

They may be remote, but the protected sites in northern Manitoba are historically linked to those in the south.

Churchill, a traditional homeland for Indigenous communities, served as a key outpost for the Hudson’s Bay Company in the 18th century, and later, a critical hub for the grain industry.

Take a boat ride across the Churchill River and get a sense of the life of an 18th-century fur trader. This massive stone fort at the edge of the Hudson Bay is what legends are made of.
