Liquor
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Effective Dates: April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027
Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the Superintendent designates following prohibited activity within Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Possession of open liquor or consumption of liquor is prohibited, except on a registered campsite by holders of a valid camping permit authorizing use of that site, during a superintendent-approved special event, or at a private dwelling house, and while otherwise in accordance with the Nova Scotia Liquor Control Act.
This restriction is in effect at all times.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
Violation of this prohibition is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act. Failure to comply may result in prosecution and/or park permit cancellation.
