Prohibited activity notice: pedestrian
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Effective: May 15, 2026 - October 25, 2026
Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the Superintendent designates the following prohibited activity within Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Pedestrian use is prohibited on the Cabot Trail between 19713 Cabot Trail (French Lake Look-Off) and 18865 Cabot Trail (Veteran’s Monument Look-Off).
Exceptions: Emergencies, or as authorized by Parks Canada staff.
This prohibition is in effect at all times.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
Violation of this prohibition is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act. Failure to comply may result in prosecution.
