La Mauricie National Park

In summer and winter, visitors can enjoy the convenience of renting the equipment needed to enjoy their favourite activities at the park. Here are the services offered:

Boat and equipment rental

In summer, visitors can rent canoes, single or double kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards to discover the many lakes in the park.

Rental:

  • at the Boat and Equipment Rental Centres in the park:
    • Shewenegan Picnic Area
    • Wapizagonke Picnic Area
    • Lac Edouard Picnic Area
The rental includes:
  • life jackets
  • safety kit
  • paddles

Row-and-go canoes

Row-and-go canoes are perfect to go out on a lakeside expedition in the backcountry without having to portage or carry the canoe. They are currently offered at lac à la Pêche and lac du Caribou. To take advantage of this, visitors must:

  1. visit LocationCanot.com or drop by a Boat and Equipment Rental Centre in the park;
  2. leave a $30 deposit for the paddles, life jackets, a safety kit and a token that will unlock the canoe;
  3. at the end of the rental period, return the canoe to its spot, bring the token and equipment back to the rental centre before closing time and get the deposit back.

Bedding and camping equipment rental

In summer, various bedding and camping equipment rental packages offer a hassle-free outdoor experience.

Cross-country ski and winter hiking equipment rental

In winter, adults and children can rent their cross-country ski equipment (classic style) and winter hiking gear at the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre:

  • snowshoes
  • crampons
  • hiking poles
  • full equipment of cross-country ski (boots, skis and poles)

* The smallest cross-country ski equipment for a child is 114 cm, for a minimum weight of 21 kg.

  • first come, first served
  • without reservation
  • limited quantities
  • return of equipment before 4 pm
  • rental services may be stopped if there is severe weather or if reception services are closed
