Waskesiu River Trail

Listen to the gentle sounds of the Waskesiu River and watch its meandering journey across the forest while you explore the trail.
The boardwalk travels along the river through a black spruce forest. After 0.5 km of boardwalk, a bridge crosses the water. Can you spot a fish downstream or a Bald Eagle on a quest for a meal? At this point, you can turn around or continue the trail as it loops across the soft slopes of the river valley.

Time: 45 to 60 minutes
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
Significant Features: Follows alongside the Waskesiu River before the trail turns into the aspen and spruce covered hills of the river valley.
Trailhead: 6 km from the visitor center on the Kingsmere Road.
