Privacy Notice Statement – National Information Services
The personal information you provide is collected under the authority of section 7 of the Financial Administration Act, subsection 8(1) of the Canada National Parks Act and section 8 of the Parks Canada Agency Act. It is used to confirm the identity of visitors requesting an independent refund and to allow individuals to get refunded extra costs incurred through their own error as a customer service gesture verify visitor identity, process refunds, to facilitate administrative functions, such as revenue accountability, support statistical analysis and future planning, and facilitate administrative functions. In the event of non-compliance, your personal information may be shared with Parks Canada's Law Enforcement Branch (LEB) to assist in related investigations as they are peace officers under the Criminal Code and assist in law enforcement.
Refusal to provide personal information will prevent you from receiving aids and possible refund.
The information you provide may be used and/or disclosed for policy analysis, research and/or evaluation purposes.
Your personal information is administered in accordance with the Parks Canada Agency Act, the Privacy Act and other applicable laws.
You have the right to the protection of, access to, and correction of your personal information, which is described in Personal Information Bank: National Information Services - PC PPU 092.
