Privacy Notice Statement – Impact Assessment Environmental Surveillance

The information you provide is collected pursuant to sections 8, 16 and 18 of the Canada National Parks Act and section 84 of the Impact Assessment Act. The personal information will be used to administer the protection and conservation of natural and cultural resources, ensure Parks Canada meets its legal obligations under the Impact Assessment Act, and prevent adverse environmental effects. It will also support documentation of projects occurring on Parks Canada sites. As part of this compliance function, a Parks Canada surveillance officer may inspect project sites during the construction or implementation phases of approved projects to ensure mitigation measures are implemented effectively. The personal information collected may also be use for briefing purposes, policy analysis, as well as shared with law enforcement branch, as necessary, for the enforcement of Parks Canada legislation.
