The information you provide is collected under the authority of subsection 8 (1) of the Canada National Parks Act; and relevant Regulations found under the Act as well as other applicable acts, policies and regulations for the purposes of administering property damage and personal injuries claims and litigation.
Personal information will be used to address claims by or against the Crown to request compensation for losses, expenditures or damages sustained by the Crown or a claimant. Without this information, your claim may not be processed.
The information you provide may be shared with investigative bodies such as Parks Canada`s Law Enforcement Branch (LEB) in accordance to their program and activities. LEB Parks Wardens are peace officers with the meaning of the Criminal Code and they assist in jurisdictional law enforcement.
Your personal information is administered in accordance with Canada National Parks Act, the Privacy Act, the Crown Liability and Proceedings Act and other applicable laws. You have the right to the protection of, access to, and correction of your personal information, which is described in Personal Information Bank Parks Canada Claims and Litigation Program PC PPU 040.
